Sustainable CRP!

23rd September 2019 / Posted by CRP Team

As an organisation, there are many actions that we are taking to become more sustainable.  This includes only printing when necessary, on FSC certified paper, and reducing the level of paper-based marketing materials we use.   All of CRP’s events will be continuing to embrace sustainability by choosing sustainable catering, including using all reusable items rather than single use plastic.

We will also continue to ask delegates to use active travel or public transport methods to arrive at our events, to improve air quality as much as possible.

For more information, please contact CRP’s Yasin Mahmood

Clean Air Thames – Applications Now Open

23rd September 2019 / Posted by CRP Team

We are very excited to announce that our Clean Air Thames project is now live.  It was officially launched at the Port of London Authority’s Greening Inland Shipping Conference (#GIS19) on Tuesday 10th September.

CRP will work with the Greater London Authority, the Port of London Authority, the City of London Corporation over the next three years to improve air quality along the river.  Through the Mayor’s Air Quality Fund, Clean Air Thames will provide funding to retrofit up to 11 inland vessels with post exhaust treatments to reduce hazardous emissions, including particulate matter, nitrogen oxides and sulphur oxides, as well as share lessons and best practices over the lifetime of the project.

Applications are now open for Round 1 of Clean Air Thames funding.  It is open to operators running vessels on the Tidal Thames within Greater London.  Please visit https://crossriverpartnership.org/projects/clean-air-thames to access the application form, as well as project participation guidelines.

Coming back to CRP!

23rd September 2019 / Posted by CRP Team

I am very happy to be joining the team again this month, this time returning full-time as a Support Officer. My work experience took place over a week in August, where I had an interesting and busy introduction to life at CRP. I will be spending three days a week time on the Clean Air Villages 2 project, and the rest of my time on other exciting projects at CRP, including the Clean Air Thames project.

In terms of business engagement, this week we have been working in Covent Garden with CAV, investigating the food and beverage industry there.

I’ve also been enjoying getting to know the Clean Air Thames project, as well as being introduced to the Cadogan Estate Sustainability Strategy. This has included a meeting with Tideway, learning more about their business by discussing their retrofit solutions and how they are reconnecting London with the Thames.

I am looking forward to seeing what the upcoming weeks hold, and I am very excited to be back at CRP!

He also led on the rebranding of the CRP website, social media accounts and the upcoming 25 Year celebration. Jay would like to take this opportunity to thank all CRP partners, funders and wider stakeholders for the great partnership work.
