London Assembly Transport Committee Consultation

24th August 2016 / Posted by CRP Team

It’s official, London’s roads have been getting steadily busier and more congested for at least the last two years. Traffic speeds are falling and journey times are getting longer, bringing an economic cost to London and increasing pollution. All parts of London’s road network – central, inner and outer London – are considered to be congested.

The London Assembly Transport Committee is calling for submissions to help answer the question ‘What can the Mayor and TfL do to reduce the level of traffic congestion in London?’

CRP is responding with a submission advising on solutions for consideration based on learning from our local and European projects. Our recommendations will address air quality, how to reduce the number of delivery vehicles on London’s roads, and encouraging transport modal shift.

More information on the consultation can be found here: https://www.london.gov.uk/sites/default/files/transport_committee_-_traffic_congestion_investigation_-_call_for_views_and_information.pdf

CRP’s Lambeth Office

24th August 2016 / Posted by CRP Team

It has been a whole month since CRP’s Deliver London team started working in our London Borough of Lambeth partner office on the 2nd floor of Phoenix House in Vauxhall. Hot desking with the Investment & Growth Team has been great.  We are developing ever closer relationships with our Lambeth Council colleagues as we shuffle daily conversation over the projects we are working on, chats over software we are using, or the news. The experience has been made even better as we enjoy the occasional treats of having proper market food at Vauxhall Street Food Garden or eating lunch whilst looking over the Thames!

CABB and GtB Delivery

23rd August 2016 / Posted by CRP Team

CRP’s Clean Air Better Business and Greening the BIDs partners met for their bi-monthly Steering Group meetings at Pop Brixton earlier this month.

Clean Air Better Business partners heard about TfL’s new Cycle Hire business accounts which enable businesses to provide staff easy access to the Santander Cycle scheme. The partners also received an explanation of the technical report behind the successful Anti Idling Days held earlier in the year which showed a reduction in air pollutants on the days CABB partners engaged with drivers.

Greening the BIDs received an update on CRP’s work to secure funding for future greening projects and discussed plans for two exciting events to share the BIDs’ collective successes.

Thank you to Brixton BID for hosting, TfL and Kings College London for your presentations and for all CABB at GTB partners for your lively participation.

London is open

19th July 2016 / Posted by CRP Team

CRP is right behind the Mayor of London’s new campaign, #LondonIsOpen. The idea is to show that London is united and open to the world following the EU referendum.

Lots of people from creative and culture industries have asked how they can help and so Londoners, organisations and businesses are being invited to support the #LondonIsOpen message via social media, and by whatever means you would like to.

The first idea is to bring #LondonIsOpen to life by ‘opening doors’, so Sadiq has kicked off the campaign by opening a door at City Hall.
