The Future of Fleet Electrification at Move 2020
25th February 2020 / Posted by CRP TeamThe topic of fleet electrification was a feature of the recent MOVE 2020 conference at London’s ExCel centre. CRP’s Tom Linton-Smith was on a panel with Innogy Ventures and Ingka Group (IKEA) discussing the question ‘Will fleets foster effective EV adoption?’ In the city freight sector, the panel agreed that this decade will see a significant transition, with the decisions taken by large fleet operators helping to shape the makeup of the new and second hand vehicle market as cities in particular move to improve air quality. Tom referred to our recent Smart Electric Urban Logistics, which demonstrated the effectiveness EVs in urban settings, and highlighted the need for cross-sector collaboration and planning to develop the most effective and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
