OurBike Launches in Islington

7th October 2024 / Posted by Sarah Meertens

Cross River Partnership (CRP) are excited to announce that we have launched two new OurBike community cargo bike in the London Borough of Islington

OurBike is an app based community cargo bike share scheme. The new bikes are hosted by Absolute Print in Archway and LC Cycleworx in Nag’s Head and can be used by businesses and residents at a subsidised rate for local deliveries, travelling with children or transporting larger items as a more sustainable transport mode.

We were joined for the launch by our partners from the London Borough of Islington, including Councillor Rowena Champion, Executive Member for Environment, Air Quality & Transport and Councillor Santiago Bell-Bradford, Executive Member for Inclusive Economy, Culture & Jobs, as well as our partners at OurBike.

Both bikes are stored near their host business. Find the exact locations here: Absolute Print OurBike and LC Cycleworx OurBike

CRP’s cargo bike share interventions are part of Smarter Greener Logistics (SGL) a Defra-funded project led by Westminster City Council in collaboration with 25 project partners. The project aims to minimise the impact of freight on noise, air quality, traffic and pavement space in London by making improvements across 14 London boroughs and two London Business Improvement Districts (BIDs).
