JUST STREETS | London Site Visit
14th November 2024 / Posted by Guillaume StrebelleCross River Partnership (CRP) and University of Westminster welcomed their Just Streets partners to London this month for an engaging site visit!
More than 30 participants from 10 different countries were in attendance, with the true power of collaboration witnessed across the 3-day visit!
The group undertook site visits led by CRP’s three London delivery partners:
- London Borough of Lambeth: A trip to the St Mark’s Church of England Primary School to see its School Street in action. As a Just Streets London delivery partner, the London Borough of Lambeth will expand upon its exciting School Streets programme, which is reimagining what the space outside a school can look like while reducing car dominance.
- Camden Town Unlimited: Hosted a co-creation workshop and walking tour of Camden. Through the Just Streets project, Camden Town Unlimited will create a connected and strategically located walking route, taking into account local cultural influences, green space, current and future projects, such as the Green Loop and the Camden Highline.
- Harley Street BID: A site visit around the Marylebone Library area exploring greening and street infrastructure. Harley Street BID will be working closely with University of Westminster through the Just Streets project to install a parklet that they will be codesigning with the local community.
Feedback surveys and breakout sessions supported partners to reflect, share ideas and discuss the planned intervention in more detail, focusing particularly on how the concept of Justice can be applied to our street interventions.
A huge thank you to all of those who joined us in London!
