CALL Snapshot: Masthouse Terrace Pier

CRP’s Masthouse Terrace Pier: CALL snapshot provides an insight into the collaboration between CRP and the Port of London Authority (PLA) to create London’s first dedicated freight pier, located on the Isle of Dogs, East London.  

In addition to the pier being used as a dedicated space for light freight, it also will continue to be an addition to the Uber Boat by Thames Clipper River Bus Service, providing the opportunity for both passenger and river freight operations. As part of the Defra-funded CALL programme, CRP and the PLA have also developed a guidance document to support pier owners and e-cargo bike operators to ensure the safe and efficient transfer of light freight between the river and shore.
