GSTT E-Bike Scheme Evaluation

GSTT E-Bike Scheme Evaluation

Active Dates: March 2026 - June 2026
Project Summary: CRP is assessing Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust E-Bike Scheme to understand its usage, impact and future potential.
Project Partner: Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust
CRP Lead: Sefinat Otaru

CRP is conducting an evaluation of an E-Bike scheme delivered by Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) to help assess operational efficiency, environmental impact and staff experience. Through the scheme, four e-bikes have been introduced across two of the Trust’s community sites, supporting clinicians attending attending patient visits across Lambeth and Southwark. These scheme aims to improve travel efficiency, cut carbon emissions, and enhance staff wellbeing.

CRP will lead the monitoring and evaluation of the e‑bike scheme, collecting a robust mix of qualitative and quantitative evidence to measure its success. This will include GPS journey data, staff surveys, and in‑depth interviews to understand how the scheme impacts clinician travel time, patient experience, staff wellbeing, and progress towards sustainability and carbon‑reduction goals. CRP’s work will ensure clear, evidence‑led recommendations for future rollout beyond the scheme.
