CRP provided expert project management consultancy services to CRP’s partner Better Bankside to support the 2025-2026 phase of the Southwark Climate Collective (SCC), a UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) funded programme, supported by the Mayor of London, which supports Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Southwark to decarbonise.  

CRP Project Manager Katherine Fairfax worked with the team at Better Bankside over summer 2025 to set-up the 25-26 phase of the SCC programme whilst Better Bankside were actively recruiting for a new Sustainability Manager.  

CRP’s project management expertise focused on defining the SCC 25-26 delivery plan, developing practical project management processes and tools, and leading a successful and transparent tender exercise for the procurement of expert sustainability consultants.  

Project Management Consultancy Services included:

• Development of project management tools & processes including project trackers, action plans, internal budget and comms planner.  
• Budget and reporting liaison with programme funder including quarterly claim reporting and meetings with GLA Grant Manager and attendance at UKSPF programme-wide stakeholder meetings.  
• Extensive businesses engagement with Southwark SMEs to understand how the 25-26 phase of the SCC could be shaped to support business decarbonisation.  
• Procurement of high-quality sustainability consultants, including drafting of ITT documents and consultant engagement meetings, to deliver bespoke business decarbonisation support to 20 selected Southwark SMEs.   

CRP delivered a smooth handover of the SCC 25-26 to the new in-post Better Bankside Sustainability Manager to continue the successful delivery of the programme following the conclusion of CRP’s project management consultancy services.

Southwark Climate Collective  

The Southwark Climate Collective (SCC) was launched in 2023 to provide targeted sustainability and de-carbonisation support to Southwark SMEs. The SCC programme has equipped more than 140 Southwark SMEs with the tools, skills and technical support to cut their emissions.   

Better Bankside secured additional funding from the  UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) to continue the SCC into 2025-26 and build on the success of the programme through bespoke decarbonisation training and targeted business support. Find out more: https://southwarkclimatecollective.co.uk/
