Waterloo Freight Hub – Summer Site Visits

This summer, Cross River Partnership (CRP) has hosted a series of site visits to the undercroft of Waterloo Station, where CRP is working with partner organisations Great British Railways Transition Team, Network Rail, Department for Transport and London & Continental Railways to transform a small space of the undercroft into a 6-Month Road-Fed Freight Hub trial, with parcels being delivered locally by e-cargo bike. The trial will inform possible future rail-fed freight operations at Waterloo Station. 

This summer’s site visits have been a great opportunity to engage with local stakeholders, share project plans and receive their feedback and suggestions. The support we have received so far has been very encouraging, as we are currently preparing the space ahead of the Trial kick off in the coming months.
