Update on the Mayor’s EV Infrastructure Taskforce

18th March 2019 / Posted by CRP Team

Back in May 2018, the Mayor launched the Electric Vehicle (EV) Infrastructure Taskforce chaired by Shirley Rodrigues, Deputy Mayor for Environment and Energy.

Following substantial research and work done by the Deputy Mayor’s team and TfL as well as input provided by taskforce members, the EV infrastructure Delivery Plan is currently being finalised and will be launched in early summer 2019.

TfL is planning to hold a workshop with wider stakeholders on the Delivery Plan. This is likely to take place in May and details will follow shortly.

CRP sits on the 16-member Taskforce that provides guidance on how to implement the Mayor’s vision of a zero emission transport network by 2050, focusing on the lack of electric vehicle charging infrastructure that remains an important barrier to the take-up of EVs.
