Spotlight On – City of London Corporation awarded Green Public Sector Organisation of the Year!

CRP Partner the City of London Corporation have been named Green Public Sector Organisation of the Year at the Green Awards UK 2025! 

This brilliant achievement is in recognition of the wide range of climate action projects that they are delivering, including greening initiatives, supporting green finance, and leading by example through implementing sustainable changes across their own organisation. 

One of the Cities flagship initiatives is their ‘Cool Streets and Greening (CSG) Programme’. This is transforming streets in the Square Mile to address the growing risks of climate change (including extreme heat, flooding and biodiversity loss), while enhancing the quality and resilience of the urban environment.  

So far the programme has resulted in 17,211m² of public space being enhanced, through measures such as relandscaping, tree planting, installing rain gardens, and adding permeable paving. You can read more about the impressive work that is being delivered through the programme here.
