TfL Trials Off-Peak Fridays

Transport for London (TfL) recently announced an exciting initiative: a three-month trial of off-peak Fridays on Tube and rail services across the city! The trial kicked off on March 8th and will last until May 31st, 2024. 

With hybrid working being the new norm across many industries in the wake of the pandemic, Fridays often see a significant proportion of the workforce working from home. Consequently, tube journeys have yet to rebound to their pre-pandemic levels. 

The trial aims to increase tube journeys and encourage Londoners back into the city, in a bid to boost visitor numbers to the city’s landmarks and businesses.  

Alongside the trial, many restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues throughout the city are rolling out exclusive Friday-only offers and discounts. These offers can be explored on Visit London’s dedicated webpage, showcasing the array of deals available during the trial period.
