RFP: Subsidised Micro Logistics Hub Trial in Islington

6th September 2024 / Posted by Isidora Rivera Vollmer

Cross River Partnership (CRP) has been collaborating with the London Borough of Islington to launch a six-month micro logistics hub trial. We have partnered with Decarbon Logistics Solutions to support the management of the hub space. We have now completed the site identification process and reached an agreement with the landlord. The selected site for the micro logistics hub (1,142 sq ft) will be located within the NCP Finsbury Square underground car park (Finsbury Square, EC2A 1RR).

Attention London-based low-emission couriers!

We are excited to invite your organisation to submit a proposal for the opportunity to be appointed as the low-emission operator for this subsidised micro logistics hub trial. Contact us to receive the official request for proposal (RFP). The micro logistics hub would receive goods from an electric delivery vehicle and distribute them by electric cargo bikes / walking porters in the surrounding area. Following the six-month trial, there may be an opportunity for the successful provider to acquire the space and continue operations independently (e.g. for 12 months).

Please contact CRP Project Manager Isidora Rivera Vollmer isidorariveravollmer@crossriverpartnership.org for further details. The deadline for proposal submissions is by 5pm on Thursday, 12th September.
