Oxford Street West Research

3rd May 2017 / Posted by CRP Team

CRP has been busy throughout February and March 2017 surveying close to 300 businesses in the Oxford Street West District (OSW) on movement of freight. Combined with observation studies undertaken earlier in the year, the research forms the basis of its OSW Delivery and Servicing Study. The work is supported by the New West End Company, Transport for London and Westminster City Council and attempts to:

  • Identify opportunities for improved efficiencies in deliveries and servicing using both tried and tested, and innovative, solutions
  • Begin dialogue with local businesses on the impacts of their deliveries and servicing

Preliminary results are in and a number of key recommendations are being developed around the categories of: technology, policy change, streetscape improvement and education – each aimed at ensuring the on-going global competiveness of the OSW area.
