New research on impacts of air pollution

Imperial College London’s Environmental Research Group recently published a report on the impacts of air pollution throughout one’s lifetime from pregnancy and birth through old age. More recent research shows that air pollution will affect all Londoners and that policy should be aimed at reducing harm from air pollution.

The findings echo a publication from the UK Government, “Air pollution: applying All Our Health” for health workers to address the effects of air pollution in their communities. The publication also shows how people are affected throughout their lifetime.

Poor physical and mental health not only affect quality of life, but also impact the economy and society. Following the recommendations from publications such as these is important in creating the right environment to reduce air pollution quickly and effectively.
