CRP Micro Logistics Hubs – Updates

28th November 2023 / Posted by Isidora Rivera Vollmer

Happy to see our CRP micro logistics hub trials in Pimlico and Wandsworth progress so well these last few months! You can find our most up-to-date insights below:

Wandsworth Micro Logistics Hub Trial (ending on 21/02/24)

Positive impact after 2 months of operations:

  • Average of 163 daily parcels (fresh flowers) being moved via the hub
  • 2,208 kilometres (1,260 miles) travelled by electric vans
  • Total emissions reduction of 191 kg of CO2, 941 g of NOx, and 22 g of PM2.5
  • Translated into more tangible examples, by using our CRP Clean Air Tool, this would mean:
    • CO2 emissions from 3 football pitch-sized forest fires
    • NOx emissions equivalent to what 29 people emit in one day
    • 0.5 sycamore maple trees required to filter out these PM2.5 emissions
  • More information on the hub found here.

Pimlico Micro Logistics Hub Trial (ending on 31/12/23)

Positive impact after 7 months of operations:

  • The e-cargo bikes have travelled a total of 17,321 km (10,763 miles) so far
  • Total emissions reduction of 3,260 kg of CO2, 13,054 g of NOx, and 215 g of PM2.5 when compared to polluting van deliveries (calculations by Delivery Mates’ in-house emissions tool)
  • Translated into more tangible examples, by using our CRP Clean Air Tool, this would mean:
    • CO2 emissions from 66 football pitch-sized forest fires
    • NOx emissions equivalent to what 396 people emit in one day
    • 4.8 sycamore maple trees required to filter out these PM2.5 emissions
  • More information on the hub found here.
