Clean Air Thames

CRP has started planning the initial stages of the Clean Air Thames project with the Port of London Authority, the City of London Corporation, and others.  The project will be supported by a £500,000 grant from the Mayor’s Air Quality Fund.  The project aims to retrofit 11 vessels to reduce their emissions, especially particulate matter and nitrogen oxides.

One of the next steps will be to finalise the requirements for operators and vessels who wish to apply for funding.  Details will be shared as they become available with a formal announcement at the Greening Inland Shipping Conference on 10 September 2019.
