CamdenAbility – Disability Network Meeting

10th December 2018 / Posted by CRP Team

CamdenAbility held an extremely popular employer network meeting this month. The event was hosted at the Alan Turing Institute, who were in attendance alongside other members of the CamdenAbility network, such as Camden Council, Matrix SCM, HS2 and Tottenham Hotspurs foundation.

Also in attendance were guest speakers from Leonard Cheshire and Mind, who spoke about their projects for disabled job seekers, and the Royal National Institute for Blind People, who delivered a very practical presentation showcasing the use of everyday technology to support people with blindness.

After what has already been a really busy year for CamdenAbility, the project will end the year with a flourish with its final event on the 18th of December, incorporating a site tour, a network meeting and a ‘meet the candidates’ event.

CamdenAbility is delivered in partnership with the Business Disability Forum and funded by Camden Council.  The project works with a network of local employers to improve disability standards and create opportunities for Camden residents with disabilities and long term health conditions.
