Albert and Recruit London

Albert, aged 49 is a Westminster resident who was unemployed for over 9 years before being supported into employment as a Street Patroller and Litter Picker at Leicester Square’s McDonalds by Sylvia Kankasa (Specialist Workplace Coordinator at Recruit London) and Nikoletta Gjergji (Project Support Assistant at Recruit London). Albert was referred by Stella from CNWL.

Albert had been volunteering once a week with Action for Hearing Loss at a homeless shelter for 2 years. Albert is deaf so he finds volunteering very rewarding however, he wanted to start earning an income and so, Sylvia spoke to Albert regarding his needs and requirements and negotiated with McDonalds to open up a bespoke role for him. Well done Albert!
