Yerbury Primary School – School Street

On 25th March 2019 a School Street was introduced at Yerbury Primary School in Islington to encourage walking and cycling to school. Vehicle movements are restricted along Sections of Tytherton Road, Yerbury Road and Foxham Road between 8.45am to 9.30am and 3.15pm to 4pm on weekdays during term-time. The school street aims to improve road safety, accessibility and air quality by encouraging walking, cycling and travelling by public transport to school. Following consultation in November 2018, results showed that 79% of respondents supported the scheme.
