On 3rd June 2019 a School Street was introduced at Winton Primary School in Islington to encourage walking and cycling to school. Vehicle movements are restricted along Killick Street and Collier Street between 8.30am to 9.15am and 3.15pm to 4pm on weekdays during term-time. The school street aims to improve road safety, accessibility and air quality by encouraging walking, cycling and travelling by public transport to school. Following consultation in February 2019, results showed that 84% of respondents supported the scheme.
