As part of Healthy Streets Everyday, CRP have funded a report “MAKING SCHOOL STREETS HEALTHIER: Learning from temporary and emergency closures” on the impact of school streets. The research was carried out by Asa Thomas, a PhD Researcher at the Active Travel Academy in the University of Westminster’s School of Architecture and Cities
The report monitored and evaluated the impact of two school streets in the London Borough of Hackney. Vivacity sensors were installed on Fairholt Road and Rendlesham Road to see how people used the streets during school street periods.
