On 3rd September 2020 a School Street was introduced at St Mary Magdalene Primary School in Islington to encourage walking and cycling to school. Vehicle movements are restricted along Lough Road (between Bride Street and Sheringham Road) and Bride Street (between Liverpool Road and Westbourne Road) between 8.00am to 9.00am and 3.15pm to 4.15pm on weekdays during term-time. The school street aims to improve road safety, accessibility and air quality by encouraging walking, cycling and travelling by public transport to school. The School Street will be installed under an 18-month experimental traffic order with the council closely monitoring the street to assess the impact on the local area.

Hi Zeynep,
I have found the following information on WCC’s website: “Some vehicles, including Blue Badge holders and emergency vehicles are exempt from the closure and can maintain access at all times. […] Those holding valid Blue Badges will be exempt from the restrictions but should still avoid parking on school keep clear (zigzag) markings.” (Link: https://www.westminster.gov.uk/school-streets/trial-schools/st-mary-magdalenes) I hope this helps!
