The first School Street in Haringey was launched at Lordship Lane Primary School in March 2019. Manual bollards (which were installed by the council) are raised by school staff for 45 minutes at the start and end of the school day, temporarily closing the southern section of Ellenborough Road to vehicles. This has helped to improve road safety, accessibility and air quality by encouraging walking, cycling and travelling by public transport to school.
