Deliveries and Air Quality Workshops

Central London’s air pollution far exceeds the legal limits set by the World Health Organisation. This can largely be attributed to tyre and brake wear from vehicles on our roads. It is important to improve local air quality to keep London a healthy and pleasant place to visit, live and do business.

Cross River Partnership’s deliverBEST team are available to help London businesses take practical steps optimise deliveries and servicing trips to their sites. Our recommendations are meant to save businesses time and money while reducing traffic congestion and improving local air quality.

CRP delivers 1-hour workshops, often run in conjunction with our partner BIDs and boroughs, which explore relevant issues and solutions tailored to attendees including:

  • Helping businesses understand how air quality and deliveries are linked
  • Improving procurement practices to reduce deliveries and costs
  • Exploring alternatives to having personal packages delivered to the workplace, including promoting ‘Click & Collect’ services to staff

Attendees are encouraged to complete a short questionnaire available on www.deliverbest.london. It only takes about a minute to complete, and the tool immediately generates a list of recommendations businesses can start implementing. Additionally, the answers provided help the team structure a workshop with content relevant to the attendees.
