FREVUE Report on the Technical Suitability of Electric Freight Vehicles

1st March 2017 / Posted by CRP Team

The first of the key FREVUE reports is now being finalised.

The report is based on 2.5 years of data from 83 vehicles and a total of 470,000 miles driven. This substantial amount of information on electric freight vehicles in operation, which the FREVUE project brings together for the first time, confirms the assumption that the current generation of these vehicles is well suited for many types of inner city freight operations. It also shows that the optimum ambient temperature for electric freight vehicles to operate in is 10-15°C, making London an ideal environment for them.

We look forward to sharing the whole report shortly.

The next FREVUE reports due are an update of the state-of-the-art in city logistics as well as a report on the economics of electric freight vehicles.
